What is GCI MUN?
The Global College International Model United Nations (GCIMUN) began its journey in 2018 under the name UGCIMUN, born from a collaborative effort between Uniglobe College and Global College International A-Levels. What started as a small, inter-institutional academic initiative soon grew into something much bigger—a space where young minds could come together to discuss global issues, practice diplomacy, and develop leadership skills.
In 2021, the conference was reintroduced as GCIMUN, reflecting its growing ambition, broader reach, and evolving identity. Since then, GCIMUN has continued to expand, welcoming delegates from a wide range of institutions and fostering an environment where thoughtful debate and meaningful dialogue thrive.
Building on this strong legacy, GCI-MUN returns with its 7th iteration, scheduled to be held from 19th to 21st February on the premises of Global College International [GCE A-Levels]. As GCIMUN enters its 7th edition in 2026, it remains committed to its core purpose: empowering youth to think critically, engage diplomatically, and work toward practical, solution-oriented discussions inspired by the values of the United Nations. This edition continues our mission to provide an inclusive platform for students from various schools and colleges to engage in meaningful dialogue on pressing international issues. Through structured debate, diplomacy, and collaboration, GCI-MUN 7.0 aims to further expand students' leadership skills, critical thinking, and understanding of global affairs.
This year, GCIMUN centers around the theme “Growing Challenges in Political Stability,” addressing the complexities and uncertainties shaping today's global political landscape. We bring together students from Grade 8 to the undergraduate level to engage in high-stakes debate and collaborative problem-solving. Guided by our motto, “न स्थैर्यं शक्त्या, स्थैर्यं न्यायेन” — Stability is not achieved by power, but by justice — the conference emphasizes principled leadership and fair governance.
With growing participation from across Nepal and Asia, GCIMUN continues to establish itself as one of the region's most respected Model United Nations conferences.
